My artistic background that started in Ukraine, was nurtured in Kansas City by artist Inga Vereschagina, and came alive in Virginia when I lived among the mountains. I use art as a way to find my inner peace and sense of harmony and to bring joy to the people I love. It's how I express myself, uncover new ideas, and explore my values.
My adventures have taken me to Florida now where I have become inspired by tropical scenes and ocean wildlife. I often begin my paintings on the spot of the action: whether its in my garden where I cultivate over 100 varieties of flowers, or on the beach or the ocean. I combine traditional techniques with new digital tools to create fine art pieces as well as more abstract nature inspired creations I also paint landscapes and details on jewelry, pottery and other objects, bringing design to everything I do.
My aim is to honor the beauty and glory of nature and to share the peace, tranquility and gratitude that comes with deep observation of plants and animals. My art is full of movement and adventure, telling the story about every encounter. Many of my paintings are from the destinations I love to travel to, such as the Caribbean islands, South America, and Florida Beaches. I use a combination of physical mediums like watercolor, pencil, oil pastels, oils and acrylics, and digital brushes such as digital watercolors and digital oil paintings.
