Contest Rules

OPEN ONLY TO CURRENT MEMBERS of Midwest America Artists Group who joined on or before 6/11/2018.*

Contest Rules:
~ Entrants must live in one of the 12 Midwest US states: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas.

~ Submit only artwork that depicts SUMMER in the MIDWEST USA.

~ NO photography. Entries can be paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, digital art, mixed media, or a combination of these. ~ Don't submit an image of famous people, whether portrait or otherwise. Don't submit a portrait of any non-famous people. A Midwest summertime image with a generic person or generic group of people is OK.

~ Artwork that has already won a top position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, honorable mention) in any of our previous group contests, including our 2017 Summer Logo Contest, should not be submitted to this contest. NOTE: 2017 Summer Logo winners are archived at: https://fineartamerica.com/groups/midwest-america-artists.html?showmessage=true&messageid=3591244.

~ Voting will be done by a panel of jurors who are members of this Midwest America Artists group. Please see recent group email and this contest's Jury discussion. No vote solicitation for your own image or for that of any other group member. If voting ends with any ties, as group administrator I'll choose the top three winners.

~ By entering your image, you agree it may be the Midwest America Artists group's Summer Logo through mid-September and, if necessary, cropped for the purpose of a square logo.

~ If contest winners would prefer I didn't share an image on my social media, let me know via FAA/Pixels email. Otherwise, all work posted on my social media is considered to be by permission of the winners.

~ Please note: I’ll delete all images -- without further notice -- that don't comply with the requirements of this contest and our sponsoring group.
