I love the golden yellow color of blossoming canola. I knew the rain would intensify the yellow, so I headed out to one of my favorite canola fields which was only ten minutes away from where I live.

A great egret (Ardea alba) hunts for its meal in a tributary at low tide near Richardson Bay, Mill Valley, California north of San Francisco. It is truly a special experience watching these magnificent birds from close range. The beauty of God's creation in nature is truly stunning!

I took these photos at the Aurora Reservoir in Colorado. It was a warm late afternoon and the water was a very nice blue. Many people were enjoying the nice day by sailing, paddleboarding, and fishing.

Recently I've been trying to collect all the freighters I can (since I actually sold one image of a freighter). I live half a mile from the Saint Clair river in Michigan that runs between Lake Huron and Lake Saint Clair, and if you are shipping something from Europe or Africa or anywhere else to Chicago and other northern ports, you literally have to sail past my house (well half a mile from my house), so I've been checking my freighter tracker apps on my phone to see what's coming. They are not always reliable because they lose the GPS signal, but anyway, I have a book on the ships that frequent the Great Lakes, and there are literally at least a couple of thousand. I'm up to maybe number 37 now in my freighters gallery. This is the "Whitefish Bay" going under the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron. This particular ship sails under a Canadian flag.

This is a very elegant sailboat sailing in the Canadian waters in Halifax Nova Scotia as photographed from my cruise ship a few years back, also in August!

The lower pool of Mirror Lake, Yosemite National Park was filled to near overflowing from runoff produced by the record snowpack the previous winter. The base of iconic Half Dome is seen on the right in this photo taken June 1st. My first time visiting this majestic gem in Northern California.

Viewing the magnificent rock formations throughout the park reminds me of Psalm 18:2:: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me; My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold.” (Amplified Bible)

Just a flower i though was interesting on the first day of August walking through the park in shelby ohio after a long day of work...

A rare sight to behold, an era when men and women had their own entrance door to enter establishments......This still remains in the sidewalk in the French Quarter of New Orleans, LA Angelo Brocato was famous for Italian Ice, pastries, cookies and other Italian delights, a bygone era of the past.

This is an August upload of a 35mm slide that I took in Austria in 1953 after visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. That Ludwig... he really knew how to show off!

Since I have been having Art/Yard sales here in La La Land, I find that people showing up on Saturdays are really going for my older work, so I am slowly displaying it again.

One never knows what will sell... Right?

I loved this intimate moment. The little girl was aware I was there ...but she only cared about loving that horse. And the horse loved back, nuzzling those tiny cowboy foots.

Just working on a series of musical instrument images which are a bit surreal but would also make great CD covers. So far I have included an acoustic guitar, A saxophone and a trumpet.

I took this photo of a meerkat at the LA zoo. The meerkats are fun to watch.

I love the old wood chairs in this vintage Barbershop along with the mood the lighting brings.

A 3D stereo crossview of an outdoor lamp on a painted brick wall. The original photo capture was of the wall with the lighted outdoor lamp and was captured at the Baltimore Museum Of Industry. I digitally added the illumination/lighting effect and text to the wall.

To view the 3D effect of depth perception, have the entire side-by-side image within view and gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. Not everyone is successful with this method of free-viewing a 3D X-View format but if you are, it becomes easier each time and eventually second nature.

Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses are required for viewing this 3D stereo anaglyph format. They are inexpensive and may be obtained online. I recommend Rainbow Symphony or American Paper Optics.

Working with textures a lot these days. I enjoyed working on this one. I suppose technically it isn't really a texture. Just blended layers.

Fort McHenry, in Baltimore, Maryland, is a historical American coastal star-shaped fort best known for its role in the War of 1812, when it successfully defended Baltimore Harbor from an attack by the British navy from the Chesapeake Bay September 13–14, 1814.

Some well placed desaturation literally makes this hidden shack pop out of the woodwork.

The Z barn sports a beautiful mist this morning bringing full character to this already awesome barn

House .. that is surrounded by the haunted Van Cortlandt Park in New York City - NY.

I captured this as I was walking alone a quiet path by the yachts. It was a day I was lucky enough to see the sky bathed in peach and pink, it was a day I couldn't believe my eyes.

If only we could all afford the time to have an afternoon nap! I bet the world would be a happier place. After all, have you ever seen an angry duck?

The pleasures of summer, intensely, explosion of colors, light! I am interested in reflections as you can see on the right of the picture.

Took the liberty of putting some of my photography together to go where no man has gone before. Hey, it's all fun!

Inside each cell iron shutters or steel bars allowed the minimum movement of sunlight through their window.
