As a former Naval Aviator and Airline Pilot, Tom has spent over 32 years flying through and interacting with the very dynamic atmospheric environment...... with a view rarely seen by most photographers.   From the flight deck window, Tom is afforded a unique vantage point, perspective and unencumbered view of nature's tropo- and strato-spheric palette free from the usual distortions and obstructions.   While most earth-bound images are 'of' the cloud structures, his images are uniquely 'in' the very structures themselves....on their turf... and at times on their 'terms.'
