Raised in a small town family owned newspaper, I was exposed to the camera at a pretty young age.   Whether it was the Nikon F used to photograph the events going on in our community, or the Giant camera that took the paper layout and turned it into a plate for the press.   I was in junior high when my brother taught me how to print in the darkroom, and I found the process to be magical.   I worked for the paper off and on through high school using that F shooting the likes of cub scouts, the garden club or maybe a ribbon cutting here and there.   I went on to study photography at...more
