I'm a native of North Carolina and raised on the banks of Lake Tillery.   Separating Stanly and Montgomery counties this area makes up part of the piedmont region of the state.   I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph this beautiful body of water from dam to dam, so you'll see a nice collection of the lake here featuring the Swift Island Bridge that connects the two counties.   There's quite a bit of history with that bridge and it's more than likely that it'll be brought down in the future to make way for highway expansion.   I still don't think I've shot it...more
