TJ Jones, Texas Artist Sculpting, Painting, Photography, and Mixed Media works A fifth generation Texan; descendant of Reverend John Haynie, pioneer Methodist preacher (1839-1860).   Haynie preached his first sermon in Bastrop, Texas.   Ironically, TJ’s first bronze sculpture was cast at the Deep in the Heart Art Foundry in Bastrop, Texas.   The Reverend John was appointed to the Austin Circuit where he preached the first sermon heard in Austin, Texas.   Today, 175 years later, his name is still seen inscribed on the cornerstone of First United Methodist Church, as first...more
