Tour De Force
Hanne Lore Koehler
Painting - Watercolor
This watercolor painting of Tour de France is now available as an iPhone case for those sports enthusiasts who like cycling races. The"flying" colors of this Tour de France cycling action painting appear to trace the path where the racers had been moments earlier and give the impression of wind and speed. The blurred colors coming off the clothing of the racers give the feeling of urgency and movement. My technique of painting realistic figures against an impressionist background should make you feel like part of the race, not just a spectator.
This action sports painting of the Tour De France road cycling race features American professional cyclist Greg LeMond (nicknamed LeMonster) who was World Champion in 1983 and 1989, and is a three-time winner of the Tour de France. In 1986, LeMond became the first non-European (and only American, following Lance Armstrong's and Floyd Landis' disqualifications) professional cyclist to win the Tour and one of only seven riders who have won three or more Tour De France races. LeMond retired from competition in 1994.
Your inquiry into the commission of your own original sports action painting is welcome!
