Dear Betsy, All your work could be commented on for it's great quality, but I've chosen this because since I was a boy, wanted to paint seascapes. I saw the work of Frederick Waugh in the Carnegie International Art show in Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh and that set me off. My first trip when I got a car was to the Maine Coast. I'm 89 and have been at it ever since. Your photo is one that really puts me where you were. Just Lovely!! I'm happy you commented on my work, because I always look at the work of those who comment and I am specially pleased to see your fine work.

Thanks for the kind comments--I spend as much time as I can on Topsail--it's such a magical place, especially in early morning when the sunrises; it's such an uplifting experience! And this image is very special to me with the two sandpipers together--it reminds me of the wonderful times that I spend with my husband, walking the coastline, enjoying each other's company. I really appreciate my fellow beach-lovers in their interest with this image! Thank you!
