Having spent a good part of the day hiking around North Table Mountain, the sunset was icing on the cake. The spring flowers were in full bloom. North Table Mountain is located in Northern California between Oroville and Chico.

Haha...I'm looking at the comments from Kathy and me below...and, we will get there...eventually! :-) Thanks for thinking of me when taking your pictures...I was there in spirit! :-) Texas was wonderful, but not as good as most years. Like CA, they are feeling the effects of the drought. Hopefully, next year we'll see this kind of color in both states!

O.K...I'm jealous...gotta admit it! I've been seeing all the gorgeous pictures from Table Mountain and I would give anything to be there!! I guess I'm just going to have to live vicariously through your pictures, James, as I'm already booked on a flight to Texas and I doubt there will be time to make it up north before the bloom is over (or, at least, past prime!) This is a gorgeous image and sunset really was the icing on the cake! Good for you!!! :-)

Thank you Lynn. Believe it or not, I thought of you when I was there. All your wonderful pictures of flowers have made me jealous and inspired me to find some beautiful field of flowers. I went last year and earlier this year and then it happened a week ago. I suspect you will see some pretty amazing scenes in Texas. I remember some from before. Think of me when you are snapping the shutter and then I can enjoy them when you post them.
