Painting - Acrylic Paint On Stretched Canvas
Description
Slumber. Acrylic paint on stretched canvas. This is a cubist inspired painting that originated from a simple figure drawing. A study was then sketched to integrated multiple figures and shapes. the image was then "drawn" onto canvas using a light red diluted paint and brush. Color blocking followed, along with some tonal variation to add depth and dimension. Outlines were added to complete the painting. A short one minute movie shows the development, which can be seen on instagram @robyaeger1 ... Your thoughts on this image and what it means to you are welcome. The original painting was selected by Juror, K.St.Clair, for exhibit in the 2017 "Fall into Art" exhibit, at the Charlotte Art League. Please contact Robert Yaeger if you are interested in purchasing the original painting.
