Description
This is one of two commissioned paintings of beautiful talented athlete, Avital Carroll (nรฉe Shimko), an Austrian and former American mogul skier. I was sent a number of photos to use as reference for the details of the skier for this watercolor painting. The background is completely from my imagination. I wanted to express Avi's fearless flying jumps by portraying the whirling snow as a space galaxy that flows seamlessly to the snow-covered trees on the mountain below.
