As fascinating as the shadows are, wonderfully emphasized by your choice of depth of field, the textures on the near metal are just as interesting to me. At first I thought maybe snow or frost, but now I'm thinking simply corrosion of metal . . . no matter, they add much to the "frames" which really set off the repeated shadow pattern in the background. This was one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for November 25.

Caitlyn Grasso replied:

Thank you so much for the pod in the Best of Minimalism, Nikolyn! I don't know if you'll see this reply, but the secret of the foreground texture is a weather-worn rubberized coating on top of metal. You'll still have to guess about what made the pattern though! ;)
