Description
Rusty is a capture of a cross section of the metal tower construction built for the high wire crossing of the Tallulah Gorge by Karl Wallenda in July of 1970. The tower, since removed from its concrete moorings and layed flat nearby, is still on site along the gorge rim within the the Tallulah Gorge State Park in Georgia, as a symbol and monument to the daring and dangerous act. Karl Wallenda, age 65 at the time, paused twice to complete 2 headstands on the wire while crossing adding to this daring deed.

Love the play of lines, and the shades of yellow to rust in this starling work, Keith. L/F
