Description
I wanted to create something unique and eye-catching that would illustrate the nightlife in downtown St. Louis. I was crossing a busy intersection on a rainy night. I was all of a sudden bedazzled by a reflecting pool of light and noticed the overhead streetlights twinkling in a moving puddle of water as a car zoomed through it. This is the result. This artwork was juried into the Art Elevated Art Contest by Orangenius/Artrepreneur in 2018. It was selected to be made into a banner and was on display in the New York City Garment District for 1.5 months. It was also selected for the MetroScapes 2017 bus shelter art for the Metro Arts In Transit in St. Louis, MO. Sponsored by PNC Bank and Metro's Arts In Transit.
