Description
This is the historic "travel camp" in Decatur, Texas origionally established as a wooden gas station for the growing "tourist campers" in automobiles in 1929. The petrified wood facade, motel, and Whistle Stop Cafe all came later. This was after an early morning rain.

F/L The lighting here is outstanding! I like the effect it has on the buildings and the petrified wood. It all comes together to make a stunning image with an excellent composition.

Thank you Bob, I'll check in to that as we do have it, but no "petrified forests" that I know about, but Texas is a big place with lots of mystery.

I've been looking at this a long time wondering how long it takes to do that and where they got all the wood. Very awesome photography Bob - Americana / futuristic / Vintage :) L/F/G/T/SU/P
