I was recently reading a new book about waterfalls that no one gets to see, because there are no trails to get to them. New Hampshire has quite a few of these forgotten beauties. When my husband agrees to hike with me, I tend to throw the "hard to find" ones into my mix. He has a much better sense of direction than I do. Without trails, I would be lost forever in the White Mountains.

This beauty was one of many that was found on what the author of the book deemed Blue Ridge Brook. He stated that the brook, including all waterfalls and cascades, remain without names. As you walk up this brook, there is waterfall after waterfall. The only catch is, you must be willing to walk through prickly bushes, bushwhack through thick brush, walk on slippery slopes and brave the many insects (including very big, ugly spiders) that you meet along the way. Honestly, I would have to say, this area was well worth the trials and tribulations of the journey. My husband and I never reached the "main attraction", but it did not matter, what waterfalls and cascades we did see, were just gorgeous and made for a very memorable trip.
