Description
The Northern Lights over the Teton mountains and one of the Mormon Row barns. I went out at 3am to capture some Milky Way images as well as the Moulton Barn under a starry sky. What I didn't realize was that a large solar storm had started the previous day and quickly reached severe (G4) status, second highest on a five point scale. These coronal mass ejections made their way to earth causing disturbances to the earth's magnetic field. I had not known this before but was fortunate to be out there while it was occurring.
