Description

Lilies always make me think of Easter, perhaps because at Church there are usually baskets of lilies sitting across the front of the church. This is from one of my photographs of pink lilies that bloom in flower garden but for this scene I used a digital art program and a method to produce somewhat of a stone look in white. At first they came out with a very black and grey tone which displeased me, although they do look beautiful in black on white. But for this scene I wanted it to be special and different and so I continued working with it until I removed most of the darkness from the lilies and this is the final product. I wanted it to look more like a pure white stone and so decided not to add color to the background for this work.
