Description
Viewed naively from the water, the town of Tremezzo, on Lake Como in Italy, seems to spread half way up the hillside. But as I started my hike, I found that the hiking trail initially led along a lane called Via Monte Crocione through some small hamlets like Balogno, Volesio, and Intignano. While I felt a little abashed at my rookie assumption, I enjoyed the richness that walking through the small hamlets afforded, and imagined the history and environmental factors that prompted the formation of so many towns seemingly so close together. Here is part of that walk, an enticing curve in the path piquing your curiousity as to what lies beyond.
