Description
The General Wolfe is a 16th century grade II listed pub and was once the tap to the original Black Eagle Brewery, part of its old wall can be seen in the beer garden. The timber framed building was clad in weatherboard in the 19th century and masks the rustic cottage which climbs to the rear.
The pub is named after the famous General who was born in Westerham in 1727 and died a heros death at the Battle of Quebec in 1759. His statue on the village green was unveiled in 1911.
