The John Hancock Tower goes by many names and is also known as the Hancock Place or The Hancock. In the past the entire windows had to be replaced and were covered with plywood, earning its nicknames are Plywood Palace and Plywood Ranch. People at the time joked that the Hancock Tower was the world tallest plywood building.
