Description

I totally love old sci-fi movies (novels or books) from the golden age of science-fiction and so that period is one of my main inspirations when I want to create a big classic scenery depicting an alien world as I love the matte paintings that were done for movies like The Forbidden Planet for example.
This is my atempt to recreate that spirit of vintage sci-fi. My idea was to create a fake poster or ad for a non existent 50�s sci-fi or at least something like that and this illustration was done with a mix of matte painting technics and traditional illustration. Flying saucers, rockteships, one eyed monsters, tentacle aliens, female astronaut, vast venusian landscape and classic alien cities at the distance...I think it�s all there...
