Description
The Grand Canyon National Park is located in Arizona and was carved out millions of years ago. The layers of red rock are revealed at the sun rises in the east. This viewpoint is called Yavapai and was a backdrop to an amazing sunrise over the canyon. The canyon is carved out by the colorado river, is over a mile deep and 17 miles long.
The Valley has been featured in many movies and television shows since the 1930s. Also, It has been used by John Ford, the director, for a number of his best-known films and has defined what moviegoers imagine the American West would be.
