This elegant orchid was created by fine artist Shadia Zayed. She began with a background surface in shimmering metallics. She created a delicate underpainting of the orchid, then, using hand painted found collage papers and tissue, she collaged the orchid and a portion of the background. The result is a simple yet dynamic painting in complementary hues of pinks and greens, with subtle texture and pattern.
