Description
One Sunday, my husband and I decided to go to one of New Hampshire's secluded waterfalls. While it is not a long hike into see the falls, there is no trail to follow to get there. This was the first hike that I have taken where it was necessary to bushwhack, luckily the sound of the water lead us where we needed to go.
The brook comes out of now-where, plunging over the 93-foot granite cliff. Cascade Brook plunges over the massive cliff, down a waterslide, beneath an over-hanging ledge, followed by a free-fall onto the giant rock slab where it crashes against boulders that border the forest on its decent to the bottom. This is a gorgeous waterfall and well-worth the bush-whacking necessary to view. (Matthew Marchon)
