Budweiser Clydesdales
The Budweiser Clydesdales come to the Fairfield California Brewery almost every year. They visited the last two Januarys as they were involved with the Super Bowl promotions in Phoenix and San Jose.
I was able to get out there early one morning before they started hitching them up for the days activities. In the morning they let the horses graze on the Brewery's grounds.
The original Budweiser Hitch started as a gift to August A Busch Senior from his son August Busch Jr. to celebrate the end of prohibition. The horses were used to delivery the first case of post prohibition beer to downtown St. Louis.
Since that time the Clydesdale hitch's have been traveling the states ever since.
