I don’t know what it was about this little one-lane bridge in Puerto Jimenez Costa Rica that appealed to me so much! Even in mid-morning, the hot sun and humidity seemed to slow everything to a crawl leaving the feel of a hot and dusty country road. On the far side there is a bar, which was closed and quiet on a Saturday morning. The sign above advertises Imperial beer, a Costa Rican brand of beer, manufactured by the Florida Ice & Farm Company (which is not is Florida!). Puerto Jiménez is the largest town on the Osa Peninsula, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica with a population of around 9,000. It is located on the Golfo Dulce near Corcovado National Park.
