Description
These are a pair of Giant Sequoias at Yosemite National Park in California. Per Wikipedia, giant sequoias are the world's largest single trees and largest living thing by volume. Giant sequoias grow to an average height of 164–279 ft and 20–26 ft in diameter. Record trees have been measured to be 311 ft in height and over 56 ft wide. The oldest known giant sequoia based on ring count is 3,500 years old. Giant Sequoias are among the oldest living things on Earth.
This image is a photographic based black and white artwork with a hint of yellow added. I work with one of my photographs (sometimes more than one), using several professional digital tools in multiple steps, to create a one of a kind work of art. I call the outcome photographic art and am quite proud to include it in my gallery. Many of the photographs that I use in this process are also available in its original photographic form elsewhere in my gallery. Both these creative processes, photography and digital art, stimulate my passion and satisfy my need to create.
