Description
Photo of a White-tailed deer in New Braunfels, Texas. The white-tailed deer's coat is a reddish-brown in the spring and summer and turns to a grey-brown throughout the fall and winter. The deer can be recognized by the characteristic white underside to its tail. Female deer are commonly called does but may also be referred to as hinds or cows.

I'm guessing that this deer is a few years old, judging from the white around his eyes and nose. She's a survivor! Wonderful image, Judy!
