I love forsythia and we have a hedge in our yard but I'm never happy with the way my photos come out. These were shot at a botanical garden against a blue sky, which is hard to do in my yard unless I get down very low, which is also hard to do. I liked the shot but it called out for some pizazz, so I used a fairly strong filter in On1 Perefect effects 2017, and then added a texture from Jai Johnson to get this look, which reminds me of a Japanese painting.
